How
do I measure my windows for curtains?
|
| You
must measure the width of the track, then the length from the track
down to where you would like them to end. |
|
|
Is
there anything I need to consider when buying patterned fabric?
|
| Work
out how much fabric you need to buy but also you must take into account
the repeat of the pattern. |
|
What
are jacquard, damask, voile and muslin fabrics?
|
|
Jacquard
is a type of fabric, woven on a complex loom to create elaborate
patterns on one side of the material. It is ideal for furnishings,
curtains and upholstery.
|
| Damask
is a reversible, soft, glossy fabric woven on Jacquard loom to form
self patterns. It is made of several fibres and blends such as linen.
Damask fabric is often used for curtain loose/covers and table cloths. |
| Voile
is a very thin, transparent material. It is made from a variety of
natural and man-made yarns. Often used as sheers for windows or four
posterbeds because they swag and drape well. |
| Muslin
is fine plain weave cotton. |
